I am a mental health nurse by profession and a former secretary of the Jersey branch of the Royal College of Nursing.

I have a background in clinical governance, with experience in both healthcare complaint handling and safety investigations.

I have three grown-up sons: one works in finance, and the other two are students in the UK. My first degree was in history and politics and, before qualifying as a nurse in 2012, I was a senior editor in the legal publishing industry, first with Sweet & Maxwell and later as a freelancer.I hold a master’s in human rights law (1st class with distinction) and have a lifelong commitment to social justice.
